Me accept buying something old and unreliable but fun.

“nah bro, this 6 point harness has actually made it easier to daily! Sure, the hood vents let in water which causes the alternator belt to squeal on startup, but that just helps wake you up in the morning! And yeah, there’s no parking brake which makes hills dicey, but let me tell you, this 2000lb 130hp car DEFINITELY needed the extra stopping power provided by the big brake kit.”

I feel this too much and only have one car. My current thought process: well the Subaru is up there in miles so maybe drive it less and make it a weekend fun toy. I can get a truck and use that for other daily duties/camping trips.
Me without a truck yet: pre runners are DOPE how much does it cost to make a truck in to one of those!

Yeah, that was me with just one car.
‘But of course you can combine a track-focused car with daily duties. Sure, the near-solid engine mounts will make things rattle a little in the cabin, but you’ll be fine...’

I went back to stock mounts on the Mini
Its just too much to have the cabin as your personal resonator chamber.

You’d expect removing half of the interior would help (less things to rattle, less things rattling). Yeah, fat chance.

ME: Isn’t a stock car a race car?
Pass the DF bottle when you’ve had your fill over there

To be fair, pre-runners ARE dope.

Literally my first statement when I took my Ruckus home:
“I want to keep this stock, it’ll be my daily cruiser to work and quick errands. So I want it to last long. ”
Three months into ownership:
“ If I swap the gearing from a Metropolitan, I’ll increase my top speed. Who needs a rev limiter on a scooter? The Yoshi exhaust is on sale! Let’s take this bulky airbox off.”

I know right...Same thing when I bought the Vette: “This will be my autocross car so I dont need to keep modding the Mini”
Me 2 months later: Sticky tires for the Mini!
